Tuition Assistance Program


 

Full time benefits eligible county employees who have completed one continuous year of employment can participate in the Tuition Assistance Program.

The program is designed to help county employees reach their goals, enhance their job-related skills, and develop their careers. Employees can take classes related to their current position or probable future assignment and be reimbursed, up to $3,600 per calendar year.

The classes can be undergraduate or graduate level, at Baldwin Wallace University, Cleveland State University, or Cuyahoga Community College.

Step 1: Choose a Path.

Explore the programs, meet with college representatives, and select your class(es).

Step 2: Get approval.

Fill out this form, have your supervisor sign it, and submit to HR.

Step 3: Register and learn.

Step 4: Get reimbursed.

Submit a copy of your Tuition Assistance Approval Form, an itemized statement from your school, and proof of grade to HR. To seek reimbursement through the program, participants must achieve a grade of “C” or better for undergraduate programs, “B” or better for graduate programs, and a “pass” or “completed” for seminars. Reimbursement does not include the cost for books, fees, mileage, travel, or other non-tuition related costs.
