Cuyahoga County has been named a 2022 “Digital Inclusion Trailblazer” by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance. This is a highly competitive award, with Cuyahoga County being one of only nine counties in the entire country to achieve this designation.

To celebrate Black History Month, we're sharing the stories of people who have left a lasting legacy on Cuyahoga County. Learn about these trailblazers and their impact through the years.

The last part of our Black History Month Series will focus on Garrett Morgan. By taking a trip to the County Archives, we were able to take a deep dive into Morgan’s impact and contributions to Cuyahoga County and the entire country!

In the second part of our Cuyahoga County Black History Month Series, our trip to the County Archives helped us learn about Sara Lucy Bagby Johnson, the last slave prosecuted under the Fugitive Slave Act.
