TAX DELINQUENT SALES ONLY
***Effective April 9th, 2025, and pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 5721.19(J):
The purchaser is required to submit an Affidavit of Non-delinquency for EACH property purchased through a tax delinquent sale. The only acceptable affidavits for Cuyahoga County may be found through the Affidavits of Non-delinquency link listed below.
Cuyahoga County WILL NOT TRANSFER title of a property purchased at tax foreclosure sale to a purchaser until the purchaser provides a notarized affidavit swearing that the purchaser (or a pass-through entity associated with the purchaser) does not own property in ANY Ohio county on which delinquent taxes have been assessed and are unpaid, or that circumstances exist as set forth in Section 5721.19(J) that would permit the purchaser to receive title notwithstanding the delinquency.
Original affidavits MUST be submitted to the Civil Division by mail or in person. To avoid delays, it is strongly suggested that you submit the completed affidavit with your payment.

Any false statements made in the affidavit would constitute falsification, pursuant to R.C. 2921.13(A)(11).
All Cuyahoga County Sheriff Foreclosure Sales are held online only.
The Civil Administrative Unit will accept payments from 8:00am through 3:30pm, closed weekends and holidays.
The only acceptable forms of payment are:
- Certified bank check or Cashier check ***NO CREDIT UNION CHECKS***
- Money Order - not to exceed a total of $10,000
- Plaintiff's law firm check
