Infrastructure and Housing

Executive Ronayne is a staunch advocate for creating a connected Cuyahoga County where everyone has access to diverse housing options, multimodal transportation, and reliable infrastructure.

Our Priorities

Well-maintained County Facilities and Community Infrastructure

Well-planned community infrastructure and right-sized County facilities that are healthy, safe, and efficient to deliver access to public services.

Priority in Action

Ribbon Cutting for the new Board of Elections Building

Cuyahoga County has embarked on a multi-year Building Modernization and Moving Plan which will result in a safe, healthy, and modern workplace for employees and more efficient and sustainable delivery of services to our residents. The first step was a ribbon cutting for the new Board of Elections building at 1803 Superior Avenue. Phase 2 includes HHS offices and staff moving into adjacent 1801 Superior and a full renovation of the Virgil E. Brown Building.

Attainable Housing Options

Increase supply of “attainable housing” through cooperative relationships with governments and philanthropic and private organizations to achieve housing choice.

Priority in Action

Department of Housing and Community Development

The newly created Department of Housing and Community Development focuses on expanding access to safe, affordable, and quality housing to foster vibrant, inclusive, and resilient communities.

Transportation and Connectivity

A right-sized, cost-effective, and reliable transportation system that is safe, environmentally conscious, and anticipates community needs.

Priority in Action

Connected Cuyahoga

Connected Cuyahoga is the County’s people-first approach to transportation and mobility. The initiative builds upon and strengthens our multimodal transportation network and provides residents access to the region’s assets.
