The Home Weatherization Assistance Program provides free energy efficiency improvements to eligible homeowners and renters in Cuyahoga County, outside the City of Cleveland, at no cost to the household. Residents participating in the Home Weatherization Assistance Program will receive a home inspection to identify the services necessary to improve their home’s energy efficiency.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

• Your property must be located in Cuyahoga County, but outside the City of Cleveland
• Must meet the federal poverty guidelines

Priority is given to residents:

• Older than the age of 60
• With disabilities
• Who have children in the home
• With a high energy usage and/or burden

All families who have received assistance any time during the last 12 months under Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or Home Energy Assistance (HEAP) (does not include Emergency HEAP) are automatically income eligible for weatherization services, but you must submit an application.
