Free Credit Report Tips

Credit reporting agencies are required to provide you a free copy of your credit report once every 12 months. All you have to do is request a copy.

It's a good idea to check your credit reports periodically to make sure the information is accurate. If you've used credit awhile, all three bureaus may have a separate credit report on you. Make sure you check all three.

To get your credit report:

Visit annualcreditreport.com or call 1-877-322-8228 to request your report from Experian, TransUnion or Equifax.

If you prefer, you can print out the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mail it to:

Annual Credit Report Request Service
P.O. Box 105281
Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

The three credit reports provide free annual credit reports only through the shared annualcreditreport.com service.
