Right of Way Plans


Right of way plans gives engineers the right to build and operate a railroad line, road, or utility on land belonging to another. Right of way plans are approved by the Department of Public Works and the Cuyahoga County Council.

 

Euclid Beach Connector Project

Notice is hereby given that the Department of Public Works intends to temporarily enter upon the real property described below (“Property”) for the purpose of constructing the public project known as the Euclid Beach Connector Trail Project.

The Project includes 450 linear feet of shoreline restoration and protection and the construction of a 10-foot-wide multi-purpose trail that will provide public access from Shore Acres Drive to the Cleveland Metroparks' Euclid Beach Park.

When completed, the Project will provide shoreline protection and public access along approximately 2/3-mile of shoreline that currently does not exist. 

The Property is located in the City of Cleveland, Ohio between the terminus of Shore Acres Drive and Euclid Beach Park, abutting the Lake Erie shoreline and better described in the Property Exhibit below.

Work on the Project is currently estimated to begin January 2026 and will continue through May 2027.

Fitch Road (CR170) Project in Olmsted Township

Since February 12, 2025 and continuing until the Resolution granting the requested action is either adopted or rejected, the Department of Public Works has posted and provided continuous notice of the following on its website: • The Department of Public Works has submitted the Right-of-Way Plans M-6002 for County Council approval and that the same are available for viewing on said website; • The Department of Public Works intends to acquire right-of-way for said improvement; • That a First Reading of the Resolution approving the revised right-of-way plans will be made by the Cuyahoga County Council at its meeting scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on February 25, 2025; and, • That general public access and ability to review the right-of-way plans via an electronic link as indicated.

CUY- Hilliard Road (CR 69) Bridge 08.57 Project

Since April 5, 2024 and continuing until the Resolution granting the requested action is either adopted or rejected, the Department of Public Works has posted and provided continuous notice of the following on its website:

  • The Department of Public Works has submitted the Project’s Exhibits and Legal Descriptions (M-5051) for County Council approval and that the same are available for viewing on said website;
  • The Department of Public Works intends to acquire right-of-way for said improvement;
  • That a First Reading of the Resolution approving the revised right-of-way plans will be made by the Cuyahoga County Council at its meeting scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2024; and,
  • That general public access and ability to review the right-of-way plans via an electronic link as indicated.

Pleasant Valley Road Bridges Project (CUY-09.03, CUY-09.35 & CUY-09.35)

Since June 10, 2021 and continuing until the Resolution granting the requested action is either adopted or rejected, the Department of Public Works has posted and provided continuous notice of the following on its website:

  • The Department of Public Works has submitted the Project’s Right of Way Property Plans M-5050 for County Council approval and that the same are available for viewing on said website;
  • The Department of Public Works intends to acquire right-of-way for said improvement;
  • That a First Reading of the Resolution approving the revised right-of-way plans will be made by the Cuyahoga County Council at its meeting scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on July 13, 2021; and,
  • That general public access and ability to review the right-of-way plans via an electronic link as indicated.
