The Cuyahoga County Transfer & Recording office has suspended the acceptance of e-recordings for the immediate future.
The existing processes provided by the major E-Recording vendors did not account for the 300% increase in electronic submissions over this past year due to the pandemic. We are in the process of implementing a new Recording software solution which will streamline both E-recordings and traditional filings into a single efficient platform. We are hoping to have this system launched by January of 2023.
During this transition, all documents must be submitted either through US Mail/FedEx/UPS or in person at our office located at 2079 East 9th, Street (Room 4-100) Cleveland, OH 44115. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, the new system will provide many new & exciting services as listed below.
- Same day notifications of E-Recordings
- Property fraud notifications
- Advanced OCR (Optical character recognition) search capability
- 24 Hour turnaround for the indexing of all documents
