Disposal of Surplus County Property
The Department of Purchasing conducts Public Auctions of surplus or obsolete County equipment in accordance with Section 307.12 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Public participation in the auction of county property is encouraged.
Be sure to read the auction terms and conditions as they apply to:
- Minimum bidding,
- Terms and payment (cashier's check, certified check, money order, or traveler's check - payable to "Treasurer of Cuyahoga County"),
- Removal dates,
- Penalties for non-compliance.
All auctions where anticipated revenues are expected to exceed $2,500.00 are advertised in the Plain Dealer.
Bidders are encouraged to attend a public inspection day held prior to all auctions.
All sales are final and all items are sold "as-is".
